I just got a 92 4x4 4.9/5speed/3.08 with no tach and had a question about shift points.
what mph do you guys with a similar combo shift from 1st to 2nd at? - if you have a different rear gear, just tell me, I'll figure it out.

I had the same prob (no tach). I have the same setup except 3.55 gears. I shift out of first around 10mph or so.
Also, if you want an easy tach install do what I did.
Buy an instrument cluster from the same year truck (or close) and it is a simple 30 minute bolt in swap.
