92 trans wiring harness
To make a long story short, I have a 92 aerostar 2wd with a 3.0L and a guy I work with has a 92 Explorer 4wd with a 4.0L. My aerostar is on the way to the junkyard but first I was wondering if the wiring harness from the trans-shift solenoids would be a replacement for the explorers as the one on the explorer shorted and burned up. The computer and trans I believe to still be good on the explorer just the wires need to be replaced.

I'm reasonably sure the aerostar uses the A4LD like the Explorer. There may be differences in the bellhousing and such, but I would expect the wiring to be the same. The Aerostar may use a different pin assignment at the PCM, but you don't need to be replacing the wires all the back to the computer, do you?
