2002 ABS problem

I wanted to ask.....right next to the sensor is another line going into the hub and I was curious what it was. It was a small tubing line, like a vent or fluid line, not electrical, and about 1/8" dia.. Mine was terribly corroded and I was afraid it would snap if I touched it. Not sure what the line is doing.
