that would be great, but that bolt does not line up with anything and if in the right position it will bind. any ways another ? wasn't paying attention when i took out the king pins(wich could be part of stop problem) does the bearing that comes with the king pin kit go under or over the axle. i put it back together under the axle. it looks right, but want to make sure.
It goes under and supports the weight of that quarter. You have it right.
The shims go on top to take up the slop that allows the spindle to slide up and down on the king pin.
I have put '73-'79 power disc brakes on a few '65-'66 F-series trucks. I have always used ALL the pieces from the donor truck. The only exception is the radius arm bushings. The bushings should be for the '65-'66, due to the different frame brackets. Found this to work the best. Not saying there aren't other ways to acheive the same results.
Other than being dirty, heavy, messy and greasy, the job is a snap...and worth the effort.
Good luck.

When are you guys traveling my way to assist me installing a 73 F100 front disc into my 65 with all drums. Thanks Bigblock for the pic's in your gallery; I was questioning the brake stop bracket;
Also I assume reverse light indicator isn't a problem when using a 79 below set up?

How's the weather in TN about now?
I've been jonesing for a Harley ride!
Unfortunatley; I'm working on Thanksgiving; but the weather here is fine; never to cold for Ford Truck Fanatic's. I've been gathering and reading all the info on doing this swap; got the donor which is the first step from a local FTE buddy; he's currently in hospital with back surgery; once well we'll pull the parts for a disc swap. But hey if your ever in my area; your always welcome to turn wrenches...
