power steering up-grade
If you have a 1957 thru 1964 style chassis w/ single I beam front suspension & 4 leaf springs then your GuRus are Partially right, except if I'm not mistaken it's a Toyota P/S box that is adaptable, not a Datsun (aka Nissan) King Cab which others used. There are articles and posts here in the FTE Archives on that.
Since twin I beam set up uses completely different chassis & suspension the GuRus are absolutely wrong about their statement 1963 to 1975.
It should instead read, . . . . . 1961 thru 1964.
Frame styles used on F&M -100s & some F&M-250 series, 2Wd, from 61 thru 79, for all intents & purposes, either are 57-64 style with 4 leaf springs & single I beam front axle. Or else 65-79 style with twin I beams, 2 front coil springs, & 2 rear leaf springs. Notice I said STYLE.
I do not want to imply 65 thru 79 Chassis's are all the same as they are not, altho they do interchange relatively easily due to their many similarities, IMHO. But that's a different topic for another post, altogether.
