Just swapped in a new IP on my '84 and was just getting ready to send the old one in for core credit, when I looked at the numbers on the tag. Anybody know what a model number 4369 means? On the DPS site, they talk about XX29 vs XX31 pumps for conversion to turbo use, but make no mention of other numbers. I read somewhere that the last two digits of the model number denote the plunger size, but this seems unlikely to be the case here. Just thought I'd better make sure what I have just in case it's worth more than the core price...
The pumps Ken wants are either,
DB2-5069 1993 or 1994 Turbo automatic
DB2-5070 1993 or 1994 Turbo manual
DB2-5028 1992.5 thru 1994 NA automatic
DB2-5013 1992.5 thru 1994 NA manual
4369 is not in the list of stock IP numbers that I have
There are so many numbers. I parts guy I deal with at an IH dealer, where I get my pumps showed me a list of numbers that was a mile long. I got a pump for a 90 model not to long ago and he told me they showed 4 numbers just on Ford pick-up applications.
I had no idea that there were so many numbers associated with these engines. I've sent an email to DPS about this, but it sounds like my pump is probably nothing special. Would've suprised me if it was anyway, but I guess it pays to check...
