Ok guys it's time to replace my IP, but nobody seems to know anything about it.
I have an 89 F250 rated at 185 BHP
Engine ID: 7.3DU2U 657863
IP on the truck is a DB2831-4732(I have NO IDEA if this is OEM though)
I talked with the international guy on an off for three hours today and he couldn't get a part number for this truck!
Best he could do after half the day of searching was: 991590C91
Anywho, I see all these pumps supposedly for 88-93 trucks but without HP ratings or DB2-numbers. Or if they have the DB2 number, it's 5013/5021, something not even close to mine.
Is there a supercession of the early 90's pumps that I don't know about? Seems like Stanadyne created about a thousand different model pumps for some reason...
Also, International wants $465 plus almost the same on the core, Seattle Injector wants $550... Those are my only two local options.
But Pensacola Diesel has no-core, free-shipping for $325! I've heard good things about them, but will I get what I pay for? They have a comparable warranty to any of the local guys out there.
Thanks, this is killing me, I hate not being able to just get a straight answer about a pump.
i would honestly go with pensacola diesel call them and explain it to them.any pump off a 6.9 or 7.3 idi will work though i would get a pump built for a 93-94 to put on.from what i understand they are a better pump
