could have a burnt wiring harness shutting half the motor down not leting it rev. The EBPV could also be stuck closed.

Corect me if im wrong, but im almost sure it does no good to push the pedal to the floor when starting a electronically controlled engine like our powerstrokes. I always wondered that actually. the old mechanical ones you could do that too cause you foot was directly connected to the pump.

My thought would be that, when it begins to fire , instead of at idle, you are at WOT...may or may not make a diff....

I don't know if the PCM looks at TPS before the injectors fire.....

Smashin the throttle during cranking does not help the truck start. Just let it roll over on its own

It will jump to WOT as soon as it starts instead of idle. I sometimes have to do this until I fix the bad GP

i had the same prob i found that 6 out of 8 glow plugs were bad two injector harnesses were bad and i replaced my fuel pump. and my truck wouldnt even start if i didnt have it on the floor. i also replaced my fuel filter before i replaced all of those parts. after i spent all that money it still didnt fix it. i took a look inside the fuel filter canister and noticed a bunch of things floating and noticed my filter was a diffrent color. I drianed all of the fuel out with that fancy yellow lever and filled it up a couple of times and repated this process until there was nothing in there. then let the truck run for a while. if you find that one of the harneses are bad i have an extra on and also know where you can buy them for 29.99 brand new or 20 used
