Now that this Inductive Heating flash has been out for a while Ive been wondering how well its working with cold starts. I currently have the Buzz flash and its not helping my cold starts much, I dont get any missing or sputtering like I used to, but it still revs way up when it first starts, (doesnt seem to healthy) Will the Inductive heating get rid of this romp on start up???
Mine does it when its 50 down here.. It idles up to warm the truck up.. If I hit the brake it drops down to standard idle.. Not sure if that's what ya'lls doin..
Guys if its the rev up I think your talking about its suppose to do that. Even the gassers do that. I believe the more rpms the more oil being pumped. On the diesels I think its also helping warmingthings up. I have no starting problems but mine has a high rev for a few minutes.
I live in FL, and it will do this when its 90 degrees out. Mine will fire like everything is normal, then maybe a second or so later will rev to 1200 rpm and come right back to idle.
Yeah in cold weather there suppose to idle up, mine usually ides up to 1,000 rpms, but it depends how cold it is. But this isnt what im talking about. Right when mine fires it revs way up and comes right back down, Its from sticking injectors I beleive. Im just wondering if the inductive heating will cure this.
my truck was just flashed about 3 weeks ago with the inductive flash. it's been getting down into the 30's lately and i don't drive my truck everyday but even after letting it sit for a day or two it will fire right up at 6am when i need it to. and i've noticed the r's just climb right after it starts to about 1000 until i get in and put my foot on the brake. no problems to speak of so far and i was told by my dealer that after this flash there should be no reason to plug it in at all in the winter in NJ. said it just doesn't get cold enough here, so only time will tell.
I know what you are talking about a-rod. A-rod is not talking about the high idle to help warm it up, he is talking about what the motor does when it immediatly firies up. Mine does the same thing but I don't know what flash I have, I bought the truck in June and I have not been able to find out what flash I have.

Yes, you nailed it on the head. I ran some Hot Shots Secret this last spring (about 15,000 or so miles ago) to try and clear up this problem and it seemed to help quite a bit at the time, only got down to about 30degrees at the time though. Now that its getting into the 20s this (rev) thing is seeming worse and worse the colder it gets, and it cant be very good on the motor, it revs before theres probly any oil pressure. Its kinda like starting a car with your foot held to the floor.
yea, i started a thread to try to find out which flash I have because maybe I need to go and get the inductive heating flash to cure or help cure this problem. Maybe I will try that Hot Shot Secret that you tried.
It just makes me cringe when it does it, that is why I have been plugging it in a couple of hours before I have to leave when it gets down into the 30's or lower.
