if you are talking about the inner armrests, all you have to do is remove the cover off of the foam pad by starting where it hinges, there is an elastic band and all you have to do is pry over foam and slide off, then put your driver side cover onto your passenger and passenger onto drivers. basically all it does is flip the leather so the bottom side is up and hide the cracked portion on the bottom. very easy to do.
I did this, took 10 minutes. I'll buy new ones when the switch a roo wears out too
Thanks for this post. I pulled the two arm covers off the front seats and switched them and it is like I have new arm rests. The drives side was so bad as the previous owner had sewn it back together on the seam I was getting an abrasion from it rubbing my arm. Took about 5 minutes.
I did mine the other night, less than 5 minutes. I pulled them off from the driver's seat then hopped in the center back seat for more leverage to pull them back on. Great mod!!
I did the the produce baggie trick as mentioned on the seat shop's how-to...slick as <censored>! I got the baggies before trying it and decided, just for kicks, to put one on without a baggie and it was pretty hard. I decided not to finish and give the baggie trick a try and it slid on VERY easy! I'm know I could have put the armrest on without the baggie, but why? I'm loving the nice smooth armrest I have. Thanks guys!
I was wanting to buy a new seat cover for the driver's side, but at $300 from the seat shop for just the seat bottom I can wait a little longer. There are more urgent needs for this thing.
