Armrests

I've seen a few references to swapping the armrests on the front seats. My attempts at finding a "how-to" have proven to be unfruitful. Could someone please point me in the proper direction so I can see how difficult it is? I'd like to get mine swapped before the stitching starts separating too much on the driver's side.

It was easy to do. The covers just slip off.pull and unrap from where the armrest connects to the seat

So I'm moving and switching the cover, not the whole armrest. Thank you for the information, there's a good chance I would have overthought the whole process.

What are you replacing the covers with? My drivers side is getting cracked enough it'll bite me sometimes. I've seen commercial replacements but seem to be very expensive.

I'm just switching the driver's side and the passenger's side. This causes them to both flip over and start using the untouched bottom half.

This took all of five minutes. Wish I would have done it before the stitching separated as much as it did.

You don’t need to remove the armrest if you are just swapping the covers from side to side. They pull right off.

How do you take the arm rests off? I get that you don't have to, but I don't see a way.

you have to pull the covering off and away at the rear, or rotational end of the armrest, there is a torx bolt there, which is the rotation point...
