1996 f250 2wd extra cab( not 4 full doors)
auto e40d tranny

im leaking fuel from this piece that is on the right hand side of the fuel filter housing. id like to repair or replace this part but im not gonna touch or take it off untill i know what it is or what it does. thanks

its the peice with the red circle around it, and the green arrow points to where its leaking.

It is a fuel filter restriction sensor.

 

Feel free to get another one and simply replace it.

 

I think at ford when I went in to get mine they called it a"fuel switch" but they should be able to find you a new one regardless of the name,

i noticed yesterday that the wire that comes off mine looks a little melted. i dunno if it is from engine heat or some sorta electrical short.

1/8 in pipe plug and be done with it. All it does is alert you if the fuel filter is clogged.

 

IC "inercooler" pipes. typo sorry.

 

Oh I understand now. That pic is from tjbeggs' truck. I don't have my I-C in yet. Sorry I was confused. I thought you were talking I-C but I don't have mine in yet.

 

His Y-pipe is from Banks the rest was done by himself.
