What are the differences between
single shot vs split shot injectors
non intercooled vs cooled
large turbo housing vs small
non wastegated vs wastegate
mech fuel pump vs electric
1 intake air sensor vs 2
100 volt idm vs 120
whicked turbo wheel vs not whicked

what is 100 vs.120 volt idm?
is the 99 turbo wheel smaller or just not better?
please explain nonintercooled vs. cooled
Thanks!
Forged vs PM rods? I think 99 and up block has more webbing.
Not shure of year changeover on both.

yeah ,there are a few more differences but i'm not sure on the exact change over dates, the 99's should still have forged rods in them all the way till 01.
i beleive the 99-03 turbo wheel pushes more air, thus the reason it will surge at higher boost levels, the wastegate blows off excess boost to keep from damaging the turbo and engine. the 99-03's used a physicly smaller turbo housing then ours so they had to add the wastegate so it wouldnt overboost.
the idm is your injector driver module, the more output voltage the better the injectors function. the superduty module is direct bolt in to our trucks.
pop your hood and note the output to your turbo, its a black y that goes directly to the intake, this is refered to as a hot air motor. the intercooled trucks run the air out of the turbo and through an intercooler to lower the air temp before it goes into the motor, colder air is denser so you can throw more fuel in the cylinder to get more power, yet run as efficent as a hot air motor
