The SD IDM will bolt right and will change all the voltages to the injectors. Whisperinghorse is that what you were asking about before I went on my tangent of motors swapping? IF so sorry I thought you were asking about engine swap.

single shot vs split shot injectors
non intercooled vs cooled
large turbo housing vs small (see below)
non wastegated vs wastegate (depends what your doing with the truck, daily driver, smaller housing ans wastegate will provided less lag. Towing larger housing is better)
mech fuel pump vs electric
1 intake air sensor vs 2 (not sure what this is even!)
100 volt idm vs 120
whicked turbo wheel vs not whicked

The ones in bold are what I think are the better options

yup that was off the top of my head, i had more but wasnt sure on exact specs and year dates.
i am with the larger exhaust housing, with the simple add of a chip the lag decreases, with a few other mods mine is virtually non-existant.

the superduties have 2 air intake temperature sensors. one is in the same location as ours, the other is in the intercooler x-pipe to read the difference in air temps. its used for intake air heater operation as well as exhaust back pressure valve operation

and i agree with tims bold lettering, but i am all for the larger housing on the turbo, as i said before, with the map sensor mod and a cheap chip, i am virtually non-existant with turbo lag

Is it a nickname or the "given" name. It just sounds odd. I think I have heard of the SD's using it in theirs, is that true?

The WW was trade marked by some vendor.
As far as the IDM's The 100 and 110 make less voltage but are made with better componets over the 120. I pass on a 120 when i come across one.
