ya can't win for loosing.

Well I got an infection in my left eye. So I'm sitting home from work and losing $70 a day. Plus every visit to the eye doctor is racking up the bill. I already lost $400 in lost work. I'm bored out of my mind. It's not good for me to be not working. I get bored and then my mind wonders and that causes me to get depressed. Had everything lined up to before this. Had a deal in the works for a nice truck ('76 C20 one owner in very good shape) Well now I'll be lucky to have a job at all when this is done and through. But mostly I'm just getting depressed. I haven't been this depressed since I worked at wally-world. I can't even drive Old Blue which only makes my depression worse. Maybe I asking for too much. All I'm asking for is 50-60 hours a week@$9-$10/hour And I don't even care if I get overtime pay. Them kids I deal with are what make my life interesting. Free entertainment. Their langauge is rather colorfull. Especialy the 11 year old girl. of course take one listen to the boy(who's 15) and it's no wonder where she learned it from. I am learning to be more carefull what I say around them. Even when they have it coming. I won't say on a public forum the subject that the two kids talk about for hours on end, but it can be entertaining at times. And sad at other times.

You've got significant mechanical aptitude and are at ease with the web.

Why not use the time to search the web for a local college or trade school program in something mechanical that leads to 40 hours a week at $15/hour? Maybe a state-run re-training funding program that'll help pay for it?

I got an eye infection when I was in the Navy and it lasted for weeks. My vision dropped from 20-10 to 20-100.

It finally went away after a corpsman suggested that maybe I was allergic to the medicine. Turned out I was. It was gone in a couple days on the new medicine.

Hope yours goes away soon. I know what you are going through.

Almost did go to tech school. The tech school had a course that would have taught: Hyd. systems transmissions, engines, Computer controls and the associated components.
