Cutting and welding brings a whole new level to the sickness
Are you ready for that? With the right tools and proper design, steel is almost magical and will do just about anything you ask of it. . .the possibilities are near endless
OK.
I just wanted to know when the Stafford "Open Air Garage" will open for buisness.
I saw this post as I sifted my way through the posts and thought to myself, "Wow, I traipse around North Stafford in my big bad blue Ford 4X4 so I should probably know when the Stafford 'Open Air Garage' will open for business too"
I'm a newbie and I just bought my 94 F150 XLT a few months back. Apparently I am going to have to get some pics tonight so everyone can see. Its lifted 10 inches (6" suspension-4" body) with 36's. Anyway, look forward to hearing from a few fellow Northern Virginians....

Later, Roy
Roy,
I'd have to see that truck, with a 4" body lift, it will never pass a legal inspection in VA, so are you sure it isn't jsut a 3" body lift? Other than that, 10" and just 36's, eh? I can fit 38's on my 95 F-150 with just 6"s and no fender trimming.
After the new year, keep posted as to when we will be starting work on Henry's truck and our Mud Ranger project. We can always use another hand...
I'm actually not really sure. Jeff over at Badd Boyz told me thats the specs on the lift but I guess since he is human...he could be wrong. I bought it over in Manassas Park and when I bought it, it had 38.5's on the front and 40's on the rear (the 38.5's rubbed just a little). It wasnt the greatest job either with spacers in the springs all over the place and no steering stabilizer of any kind. I had Badd Boyz go over everything and they put in new springs, shocks, dual steering stabilizer, repacked my wheel bearings, rebuilt my manual locking hubs and we threw in new tires and rims for good measure. I wanted something a bit more road ready than the monster mudders that were on it so I opted for a bit smaller and less aggressive tread pattern as this thing is my daily driver too....I had wanted to get pics last night but got busy with a Xmas party and didnt have time with it getting dark at like 4:30 now....
I will be glad to give you guys a hand but I must warn you now, I have found that my hands are better for holding beers and my expertise is best used for humor than technical expertise....
Karl, maybe we can open it a lil early and get the red lawn ornament off your jackstands when i get back from x'mas leave. ofcourse we will wait till after were done shootin at bambi for the season. as long as i can keep from gettin in another accident. ha ha ha.
Thats' right, you won't be here this weekend... And I finally have a good solid day I can come down and get it done. Heck, I might just go down and get it done as your Christmas present.......
Speaking of another hand, Henry you almost ready to tear that beast of yours aparts? Just a few more short weeks and we should be ready to start......
Great. I'm ready whenever. Just waiting for you all to say lets get started. And "hopper", it doesn't matter 'bout yer hands on expeirence. Any hand is gladly welcome to turn a wrench up or a brew up. With this crowd, any participation is welcome.
ITS THE NEW YEAR!!! ITS THE NEW YEAR!!! Arent we supposed to be disassembling or rebuilding something by now??
For those of you that care, I will be adding some pics over in the galleries in a few minutes of my Beast II (Beast I is a 1974 Kawasaki chopper I built) with the new setup. I will also check to see if I have any when it had the 38's and 40's on it....
When you are out here in the sticks and only have a satellite connection to the Internet, uploading pictures can be an experience like pulling teeth...very painful. For those of you who have been anxiously waiting, and I am guessing thats no one, the pics are up at:
The last day of hunting season was this past Saturday. We have our end of the season dinner coming up this Saturday, so it will have to be after that. I'll get with Nick to see when is good for him and the games can begin!!!
