Hey guies got a little problem. I got a 97 f250 extended cab psd. I have a vibration i believe in the front end it feels like. The truck has 131000 miles on it. I just put brand new rubber on it and balanced and alligned. I replaced the u joints in the driveshaft thinking it was them but it wasnt. I have bought the carrier bearing but have not yet replaced it. It is an extended cab so it has a carrier bearing...My real question is, with the wishbone suspension on the 250's are there any u joints or any type of bearings that may go at these many miles?? I would like to fix it before winter but we will see. Thanks guys..
One more questions I recently broke my 4wheel drive (BULL****). Does anyone know what the connector on the lever is called? Umm its the whole mechanism that the 4x4 shift lever is connected to. I believe that it is bolted onto the tranny? Thanks guys
If your hub are unlocked then its not in the front axle. I agree with Cookie could be the carrier bearing. Check all the rear u-joints while you there. Actually remove the drive shaft and check for tight spots.
Ok all rear U joints are brand new. I will replace the carrier bearing when i have time...at college now and it blows no time to work on the rig...If that does not solve it any other idea on what the vibrations may be? They go away at like 80 MPH. so i have no idea...
Did it do it before the new tires? if not I would ask the tire shop to rebalance them. I have seen my fair share of brand new tires that another shop balance that were way off!

If it's not the carrier.....check the wheel bearings in the front hubs.
