CCV question...
Should I vent the CCV to the atomsphere, or route it back into the intake.
The H2E kit has a provision to vent the crankcase back into the intake, I think, anyway. Or is this a provision for a power adder (I did buy this second hand, and don't know what it should look like).

H2E has a small plug for maybe a power adder and it has a CCV pipe for those that want to run CCV back to the intake, just like stock pipe. i vent mine to atmosphere, and cut the pipe off and plugged it. that small plug might be for stock setup line, there is a green vac line going to the stock tubbing between turbo and filter, so this plug might be for this purpose.like ebpv and stuff which you wont have with H2E.

Mine has never dripped onto the driveway. That was the main concern for me and the reason why it took me so long to do that mod. I hate oil leaks and drops on my white concrete driveway. After talking to a lot of the guys here and getting tired of oily boots I went ahead and did mine and am happy with it. I routed mine out of the doghouse and then over the master cylinder. From there it's a nice slope to the rear end along the outside of the frame rail.

Ok, good. I have read about a few people making a collection trap for all of the oil. I really don't want to do that right now. I think I will be doing this mod sooner than I had planned. Thanks for the info.

I'm one of those "trap" guys. Since my trap went in with my re-routed hose, I can't speak too much to dripping issues except that my trap catches about 2-3 ounces of oily condensate every couple of months during the cold weather periods, which to me implies that it would have otherwise dripped on the driveway had the trap not been there.

how important is it to turn the (dog house) around when doing the CCV mod? i got the CCV mod kit from ITP Diesel. so want to get it in. and doing some recent reading on the ccv mod, i gues ill try to just go straight out of the dog house without going up and over something (master cylender) just because iv read mix thoughts about doing that? who knows.. maybe im just worrying to much. ?

Just did my CCV mod today. Didn't turn doghouse around just twisted hose elbow to point toward driver side. I also replaced the plastic piece that CCV attatches to with a piece of 3 inch ID PVC painted black. Works great. Now I got 2 tailpipes!

When I did mine originally I ran it up and over master cylinder but I just re-did it . I must have read the same post . Ran it pretty much straight down so as not to make a trap in the hose to keep restriction to a minimum, now. Good Luck with yours. Keep a close eye on the rubber o-rings when you turn the dog house around.
