A few odds 'n ends of tools, a couple of bolt circle templates for checking wheel bolt patterns, some POR-15 high-temp manifold coating, a couple of K&N-style cone-type air filters for making cold air intakes, a stainless flex radiator hose for the Ranger, a Mercedes manual...and a Ford truck hat!
Not to mention the tri-tip sandwich and a bag of kettle corn...
Missed you guys, would have been even more fun with a group of us there...
I was there Sat. from 8:30 till 2:00...no rain at all. I bought trim rings for my wheels...brand new, 5$ each (good deal). Also a key operated battery disconnect switch. The people at the Hooters table never heard of FTE. Took lots of pictures. It can be pretty frustrating for die hard Ford fans since it's almost all Chevy. Mopar is even better represented than Ford. It's still a great show. The best food there, in my opinion, is the breakfast burritos they grill up right there. Everybody gets another chance in a few months!
my family and i were there on saturday. we got there a little after 11am left when it started to rain really good.(about 4:30pm) as you came out the front yellow gate and went into the parking lot across the street i was parked directly across from there back row with truck backed in. primered hood and pass side fender and door.
looked at a few rides and spoke with a gentle man from san jose with his red '65 ford, he was parked next to a ford ranchero that had a primered front end. bought a bag of beef jerkey, only $20.00. bought son a toy helicopter.
took picture of the overhaulin' NAPA truck. and had pic of myself and son in front of NAPA truck. and chip foose was no where to be seen, would have loved to meet him in person.
but maybe i should have entered my truck in the show out on the grounds, a couple of people were seeing who had the loudest exhaust, i think i could have won that contest. love my powersticks.
