I wouldn't waste my time or money. Too me there is not enough savings for you to do it. I have the FFV motor and it is not worth it for me to switch. I tried it and will not do it again, unless it is like a buck or more less!

You'd be better off selling the truck and buying one build with the flex fuel engine.

Need to go green that badly?

I looked into this awhile ago. Turns out its illegal to convert any automobile to FFV given emission concerns. From my estimates it would run 2-3 grand, thus probably not worth it...

how did you figure that cost? the fuel pump and injectors can easily handle the slight increase in flow, all you'd need is something to tell the motor how to use it... most of the time all they need is a tune.

Hypertech or Superchips makes a tuner that tunes the truck to run E85. I have it in my area and it is 50 cents cheaper than gas.

I assumed new injectors, new gas tank, new lines, pcm upgrade; thats what you'd get with a new FFV F150. There's always ways to cut corners but chances is you'll only do more damage than good in the long run.
