Wink performance question.

Fuel Rail :
everyone knows my fuel rail incedint and my rubber line fix.. nway my question is... will a performance rail with larger injectors do any difference? or just get a stock one and save 400 $ ?

Rockers Arms:
my brother said dat longer rockers arms will do almost the same effect as a cam is he rigght? and what is the stock size of the 351W rockers arms? and what is the size i need for performance?
he recommended me 1.7 or a little larger

I would just go for the stock unit for the fuel rail/injector question.. you don't have any in depth mods that would require bigger injectors and even though a mild upgrade wouldn't hurt.. it would need to be tuned and programmed in.

And yeah, he's right.. the rockers are multiplying the size of the cam. Don't forget that with speed density your motor won't get the full effect of the mods without a tune. But they're only bolt-ons so I wouldn't think that any would make it go wacky. The only other thing I could think of is finding a MAF/Computer setup from a later model to take full advantage of the mods.

Your stock rr's are 1.6.

1.7 rr's will give you a similar effect to a cam swap...

Sounds good to me! I'm going to do a cam/rockers/heads after I pass emissions. Better choice for me, I think. MAF should help me, though.

Yes.. larger injectors will make the motor run lean.. not what you expected to hear is it. Unless you make that motor flow a hell of a lot more air, bigger squirters are not needed.

The rockers multiply the cam profile. Your motor has a really restrictive cam in it however, so 1.7 rockers will only give you a very small gain, and I have not seen rockers for these motors with greater than 1.72:1 ratios. There is only so much you can do before digging into the motor is a must.

If stock lift lets say is about .444 lift the 1.7's would make it about .477 lift.
Rockers can be swappped out in a couple of hours only needing to remove you valve covers. To change the cam would require much more work.
If you plan on changing the cam anyway stay with 1.6 roller rockers and acheive your desired lift with the cam. This can reduce added stress to the valve train and guides if you get too agressive with the cam and 1.7's. There are however cams ground for use with 1.7 rockers.

I have used 1.7's with a B-303 cam with excellent results. My Mustang but the idea is the same. But I went back to a 1.6 when I ordered up a custom cam as recommended by my machinist and cam grinder.

No....he meant lean....if you have a big squirters but you're not getting more airflow...your EEC is gonna compensate for that....so until you get more air flowing into her....no sense in depriving your engine of the fuel....basically you'll be killing your power...even if the injectors DID squirt MORE fuel...it'd still kill your power and your mileage.....cam/heads/rockers/headers.......if you get someone who knows what they're doing, you can get E7TE heads to flow better than a stock set of GT40's.....Paul's answer is always a bigger motor right Paul?I'll be installing 1.7's in my truck just as soon as I get through with this broken intake bolt in the head deal....so I'll let ya know how that works out....Later On
