Hey there,
I just put on a 3 inch body lift on my '83 F100 with the 300. I used all the same hoses and the lower hose just barely touches my alternator bracket and my upper rests on the radiator. Therefore I ty-wrapped some cardboard around the hoses to protect them. I also made custom brackets to lower my fan shroud and after about 5 months, I have had no problems and the truck cools just as good as before. Hope this helps ya out. Post again if you have any more questions and I'll be glad to help ya.
Josh
They say you can't put body lifts on diesels either, but i haven't had any problems. Just have to modify/relocate the fan shroud and possibly cooler lines.

PS. actually, I did have to cut the opening for the transfer case lever, but that was it.
ok i appreciate the reply but has any one done this aon a 92-96 model most importantly as 95?
beacause the book says those are the years that wont work.
I put on a 4" suspension lift, which is different then a body lift. The bottom radiator hose is the problem, I used to know exactly what it was, but I forgot ha. Its on this website somewhere! I think the hose hits something. Try looking under your truck around that bottom hose where it connects to the radiator, and see what the problem might be if the body was 3" higher. Remember, the frame and everything attached (engine, trans) to it stays put, ONLY the body and any wires or things (like the radiator) will be moved up 3".

I own a 94 and put a 2" body lift on it. I dont see why it wouldnt work with a 95. The kit I used was from Performance accesories and came with drop brackets for the radiator shroud. About a month later by extreme luck and accident I notoiced that the lower radiator hose was rubbing against a bracket and was about to have a hole in it!! If I rebember it was the alternator bracket, so i put a new hose on and split the old one and wrapped it around the new one then tied it with two of those nylon pull ties. i figure it will take a while to wear through two im just gonna keep an eye on it when i change oil. The only other thing is in order to raise the front bumper you are supposed to cut slots out of the frame so you can raise the bumper . I wasnt to crazy about grinding my frame so I left it down but doesnt look so bad since its only two inches and i mounted lights on th ebumper to help. I went to alocal metal wharehouse and got a piece of diamondplate to but between the rear bumper and tailgate looks good. THis is long but hopefully helps those were tho only problems I had with basically the same truck and lift. took about three hours.
I have a '91 and am considering putting on a body lift.
Performance Accessories says that their body lift will cause the lower radiator hose to come in contact with the air pump mounted on the lower front passenger side of the engine.
The fan issue can be cured by installing an electric fan, which will also give you a slight performance increase and better fuel mileage. The negative side of putting on an electric fan being the cost.
Yeah, I've put a 3" body lift on a 79 f-150 with a 300 i6 and had no problems, the only thing was the radiator mounts. which require drilling four holes 3 inches lower... actully the top holes on the front clip went down 3 inches, and the bottom holes on the radiator come up three inches. that was it though... depending on your tranny (automatic/manual) you may need to lengthen the clutch rod, or the shift lever... but both of these are easy custom jobby's.
