Did you install a new Flex plate?

You do understand that I am not talking about line pressure as in what is going through the cooler line, but rather the line pressure that holds the clutches in place in a particular gear.

Double check fluid. Is your DP programmed to run with the sonnax? does the BD have it in there. are all connections( electrical) tight on the new tranny?

Find a local tranny shop ( not one of the big names) but a local guy that knows his stuff and ask him to drive it and give you recommendations.

On Monday my first call would be to BD trannys.

The torque converter locks just fine. I've got a light on the pillar to indicate it's locking.

I've gotten it to shift the same way everytime lately. It will shift great 1-2, 2-3, high rev into overdrive.

Only one time I was fortunate enough to get it to shift through the gears properly. While it was in OD and accelerating, it downshifted ran up to red line then shifted back to OD.

I did not install a new flex plate. I inspected the old one and it was fine.

It makes sense that there is bad line pressure to hold the clutches therefore downshifting. But, why would it do this? Everything has been flushed cleaned and put in like new.

I have taken the chip out for now to keep it out of the way. I'm trying to rule out everything I can. All of the electrical connections are good. The sensors from the old transmission are being used in the new transmission.

My next thing is to take it to a good family friend and mechanic to see what he can find.

The only thing that hasn't been flushed and I just remembered was the radiator part of the transmission cooler, where it runs into the bottom of the radiator. I don't know how to flush this out or clean it. That would be the only place that it would have blockage.

Would it be okay to use compressed air to clean it?

I always like to flush everything with flowing solvent then ATF,but if anything was there it's probly already flushed
still wouldn't hurt to refush to check for obstruction

That is my last resort. I am not going to be able to work on it myself now. I have to go back to college for class on monday morning.

I guess it will be seeing a mechanic soon.

Are you sure the fluid level is full? The correct fluid? did you completely fill the torque converter when changing.
With a hesitant reverse, and a slow to shift OD it really sounds like a fluid problem.

Were the VB holes opened up more(then they came) on the new tranny?

The fluid is full. I check it everytime I drive it and its perfect. I filled the torque converter too. It really ticked me off that they did not include that in their "things to do" handout that came with the transmission.

Plus that gets circulated at all times right?
The fluid that they ask for is mercon V, and thats all that went into it.

As far as the valve body.......The pan was never removed. It never said to do so.....so I thought that all is well.

Well, I had a buddy go to get it checked out at the stealership...... They plugged it in for diagnostics and the Computer is bad. Or, there is a short between the computer and the transmission.

I am thinking that it could have been the chip that caused it to go bad. I have heard of that happening before from another mechanic and the technician also included that in his list of what it could be.

So, I'm looking at getting a new computer by the weekend and hoping that all is well.
