1996 F350 7.3 L powerstroke There is what appears to be a pressure sender on the fuel pressure regulator it is leaking. It looks very similar to an oil pressure sender. Yet the parts house can't find one in there books and the Ford Shop Manual will show it but will not Identify it. It is attached to what Ford calls the Fuel control manifold.
How do I post a jpeg of the part.
that sounds like the fuel filter restriction sender. to post you need a webshot or photobucket account, if you want a quick fix email me the pic a t Ihateeveryone@verizon.net and i will load it for you real quick
If this is it, it is the fuel restriction sensor. It is dealer only and about $80. Just get a 1/8 in pipe plug and a little teflon tape. That's what i did.
I had done that earlier so I could get it out of the shop and start on a ranger engine replacement. What got me is I have the shop manuals for this model truck and they show a complete parts break down of the fuel system and they show that part but don't identify it. They even identify the clamps but not that sender.
I want to thank everyone for there quick responses
