will not accelerate
Ok trying to figure out a problem with a friends 99 f250 7.3 with a manual transmission and no mods. From time to time it will crank up and idle ok, the engine will rev up when the "gas" pedal is pressed one time, but will not rev back up afterwards. If he puts it in gear, manual xmsn, he may have to put it back in neutral a time or two and then it will accelerate. Otherwise it runs ok. No associated SES light, and he hasn't noticed his Tach not working. We pulled the codes and the only one that showed up was P1670, EF feedback signal not detected. I cleared it and ran it again and checked the codes and it had not thrown any more yet. He has had this problem about 6 months or so. He doesn't think it is tied to being cold, already been cranked for the day or anything. Any ideas??

these truck are fly by wire..there is no cable running the throttle its done with sensors.on top of the throttle peddle under the dash there is a switch...un plug it..clean all conectors and see if it helps...there is also a speed sensor on the rear end (VSS)..try and clean that as well...
