Stacking Chips???
A good friend of mine that I trade diesel tips with had this question. Can you stack an Edge EZ on top of a TS chip? He's a dodge guy with a few Ford customers. And I'm vice versa which is why we trade questions. So I want to know from you guys is that possible? I know they do it on the Dodges, but I didn't think we could do it on the 7.3's. It's an 02 SD. His customer want's more fuel and my friend said that his customer wanted to stack chips. Let me know what you think. That EZ doesn't just hook to the IDM does it. I guess if it did and didn't interface with the PCM it could be possible. But I don't know. I was always under the impression we coudn't stack because whatever is put on last will have the final say.

The Edge EZ is nothing more than a glorified 10K mod that you can make yourself for a dollar. It fools the PCM into thinking the ICP pressure is too low, and so it tries to bump up the pressure. With higher oil pressure you get better fuel atomization and more power.
On the flip side, your TS chip already calls for more ICP pressure and does a better job of it than an Edge EZ will. Your stock HPOP can only flow so much oil, so if you stack the Edge on, it will cause you to drop power on the top end because your HPOP will not be able to keep up.
Stacking is old technology. Something Banks came up with back in the old days. The only reason why Banks and Edge continue to sell them is because by stacking, you have to buy more of their products and pay additional money for more power. Do it right the first time and run a chip that already controls ICP pressure properly to go with fueling.
