Im gonna have to defend the Flareside bed. Now at first I didnt like the Flareside bed on the 93 because I didnt think it flowed too well with the cab of the truck but over the years it has really grown at me. When looking at the truck from the side, that extended cab beauty with the Flareside bed blows the looks of the "stylesides" right out of the water in my opinion. But what Im saying, try to give the Flareside a chance...maybe it will grow on you like it did for me.
When the 93 dies I think I have decided to head out to find a Generation 9 F-series Ext Cab short bed from beyond the rust belt and if its not a Flareside, I will put the 93's bed on the truck and match it up. Its grown on me that much!
Side Note: How the hell can they call the bed a Flareside on the newest F-150s, that is one goofy setup in my opionion...hell the beds on the Latest F-150s are all around what spoils them for me. Too tall, too boxy. No style.
i could go either way on style. as for function...i had a flareside ranger with a very functional step. helped a ton getting into my toolbox in the front of the bed. ...can't argue against that.
The difference now between the flaresides of the 80's/90's and the brand new ones is the new ones only have one step (IE the 99-new) while the older ones have the steps front and rear....what the hell is the point?I got a size 12 foot and I'll be danged if I can stand on the "step" without slipping.......
Skandocious.......alot of celebs are Canadian...but then again they're tree huggers too ha ha ha
ahhh Orange Crush A La Mode....looks great...though I was hoping for a truck with a a hem "lower" stance.....thanks Kellar...truck looks Stellar...hey that rhymes......hey, I know howto spell rhymes....and ya'll say I'm a dumb redneck pfffft.
O and another note as to why the flare sides are better (as far as 92-96's are concerned) the quarters are fiberglass so you wont get that wheel well rust and its heavier so it will be better in the snow as far as trucks go
