I ran across a guy in Virginia that has about 30-35 of that style, a few with the 429. Saw one on LI last year sitting on the street with no engine or trans but with plates on it. He said it was so he could park it on the street (without getting a ticket) while his engine was being worked on: been that way for 8 years.....

These cars had quite a variety of engines, from a straight 6, 302, 351W, 351C, 390, 429, and 429CJ... mine is an auto, as were most.
