Here's pics of the truck.

There are a couple of things that would concern me with this truck.
1) Bully Dog performance chip/module
2) A/M air intake, warm air cotten-gauze filter.
Even though the oasis is clean i would want a certified 6.0 tech to do a cylinder leak down test, check the turbo for wear and check out the transmission.
A/M air intakes and Bully Dog performance do not have good track records with the 6.0.
Just to clarify, you are saying that the 04 has the 03 engine in it?
What's wrong witht eh bully dog and A/m air intake?
Sorry for all the questions, still new to diesels.
thanks
04 SD had 03 engines up to 09/29/03, starting with the 09/29/03 engine build date it was an 04 engine.
Do a search on Bully Dog and A/M air intake. Bully Dog and many other performance modules are very hard on the Torqueshift transmission, and 6.0 headgaskets. A/M air intakes are known to cause excessive turbo wear do to poor filtration, and the oil-gauze filter media contaminates MAF sensors. The OEM Donaldson Powercore filter is the best filtration on the market and provides more air than the 6.0. can use until you exceed 500+ RWHP (this takes more than a tuner/chip to accomplish).
Preferrably find a truck that has not had air intake and performance module modifications.
If you want to enhance the power of a 6.0 the only safe way to do it is with an SCT XcalII/III with Custom Tunes from Matt at Spartan or Eric at Innovative.

It has an AEM Brute Force, hot air intake, A/M exhaust and Bully Dog sticker. If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck it usually is a duck. IMO the OP needs to check this one out very thoroughly with a qualified 6.0 mechanic if the OP is determined to by it. Personally i think i would pass on this one.
