i was wondering if anyone has installed the rancho steering stabilizer that they have for stock height vehicles. my truck sees some good off-road time on wekends and i would like to prolong tie-rod end wear if at all possible and smooth the steering out. any input greatly appreciated.
Well i cant say mine is for stock height trucks but the Rancho stabilizer works great with my 6" lift and 35" all terrains. my truck was terrrible with daily driving and that helped me alot. recently i went down to 33" muds and my handling got even better. if you have the $$ for a stabilizer by all means go for it
cool thank you, by the way, where did you get the pro-comp steering stabilizer from? i was lookin to replace all my shocks and was thinkin pro-comp, i would like the stabilizer to match.
I order mine from a local 4x4 shop, took about 3 days. He said this kit by Pro-comp is just as good as the Rancho for almost half the price. The only thing I thought was cheap was that it didn't come with a shock boot.
hey xtrford, i was wondering if you could recall the pro-comp kit part number. 4 wheel online has about 5 kits available and i would like to order the correct one the first time. thank you in advance.
Sorry, don't have a number for you. But it was the es2000 stabilizer kit if that helps, and I paid around $60 for mine. You could phone up a local 4x4 shop and ask for the kit that fits your application.
alright ill try and do that. i searched lightly for a shop around here and was not very lucky. i might just call up 4 wheel online and see what they have available. the site shows about 4 es2000 kits. thank you though.
