I have read a lot of post about rhe EGR valve, how to make a restrictor plate and all and i am a bit confused. I am going to make a restrictor plate soon. My truck is Arkansas registered so emissions is no problem. Should i just block off my EGR valve completely, or put the 1/8 in. hole in there? I know this will keep my truck from bucking and surging as it has done this in the past. BTW my truck has 120,000 miles on it. Any help on this would be appreciated.
I just recently took out the plate with the 1/8 inch hoole and completely blocked it off. Runs smoother, wraps up faster, I think my teeth are even whiter now too. Block it off all the way, any problems take it out and but a hole in it.
