Hello everyone. I am helping my uncle rebuild his 351 Cleveland and as we were tearing the motor down, we noticed that the thermostat restrictor plate was missing in the block. Does anyone sell this part? Is it possible to yank one out of another motor without damaging the plate? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Sure seems like a person with average metal working skills could make one of those. I wonder why somebody hasn't started making them and selling them. Seems like there is some demand.
I got this message over a year ago from a guy who had a new one planning to sell on Ebay. That's the best I can do.
"It's not easy getting a valid measurement because the restrictor is still sealed in its bag and I'm not about to open the bag!
Anyway I did take measurements but understand there may be error due to the bag.
