If anyone of you have the black plastic drain plug it might be a good move to buy a spare at the dealer. I changed my thermostat Saturday and tightened it up, no problems until today on the way home it decided to break. I went to the auto parts store they sold me one, it looked like mine but the captive nut was a little too big. I called the closest dealer he said come on down and pick it up, I got there it wasn't even close to mine. He said! "Aw you need the other one, I don't have one it will take three days to get it or you can drive 50 miles to this dealer and get one". I have to have the truck tomorrow so I drove over and got it, 7 bucks and some change. The moral is, this is not a normal stock item and if you need one now you are SOL. Order a spare and throw it in the glove box, could save you a little frustration, time, and money.
the same thing happened with my truck too. when my cooling system went haywire the drainplug blew out of the radiator going to work. i got enough speed to coast into the parking lot and coolant was flowing everywhere!! i pulled the radiator in the parking lot and saw the plug was gone. i looked EVERYWHERE......i tried napa(they had 2 different ones but neither worked), tried pepboys, ford (they said 2 days) then finally....went to the place i hate the most...AUTOZONE. low and behold they had the one i needed. not sure why they have so many different ones but radial is right. get a spare one just in case and throw it in your toolbox or glovebox
