locking hub question

I have a 95 f150 4x4 with manual locking hubs, should there be and inner thrust washer and snap ring on the drive axle before the lockout mechanism goes in?

The warn diagram shows that there should in fact be an inner retaining ring and a washer... Although I don't remember putting those in when I installed mine... And if you're working with factory hubs those are actually Warn hubs.
