Mine's sitting on the ground so it won't photograph well (I installed a wrecker boom instead)but a good place to look for ideas is Ebay. Lots of pics.
One trick that worked well is to make crossmembers out of 2-inch square tube, drill to fit your frame holes, and bolt into place. Lay the bed/build the bed on them. Slather the bolts with anti-seize in case you want to remove the bed later.
Scrap yards may have large beds you can buy and modify. Mine was off about a 2-ton truck. I left it wide and bobbed it to fit my frame with a few inches overhang.
If I install the flatbed on another truck I'll put a winch behind the cab (with a second battery next to it) which is the most useful place for them when loading cars etc, on trailers. Jib cranes are easy to make and would be a good backsaving addition.
thats great. ya i like that service deck, i have a flat bed already im just trying to think of different ways to do the back. theres a million ways to go!
