Squeaky noises? no good?

Ok so i finaly flushed my radiator finaly today (three hours and 15 gallons of rust water later i finaly have pretty green fluid in my rad. again).

car actually feels like it runs a bit smoother, probly cuz its running a bit cooler too. BUT there's a new noise that i hear now, i think happens when my water pump kicks on.

there's three noises i hear that don't sound too good:

a constant deep whine, which i know is comming from my power steering pump being stupid.

a "squeak squeak" that i believe is either my altinator, or one of my belt tensioners.

the third noise is what just started after i flushed my rad. it sounds like i'm draggin tin cans behind my car, but i only hear it for about 30secs, then it stops, then about a min later it kicks in again, and it only makes that noise when my car is idoling. I also believe its my water pump because i was looking under my car today and noticed a few brownish green drips around my chasis underneith my water pump. not a big deal, the car's 12 years old, and the water pump is all coroded looking any ways, and i want my car clean looking.

aaaaaaaaand the previous owner kind of ghetto riged one of the heater hoses, it had a "bubble" in it, so they took a part of a garden hose and placed it over the heater hose. doesn't leak, just looks ghetto.

so yeah those are my woes. yes i know i will need to replace the thermostat when i do the water pump, and probly the hoses.

oh yeah good news tho is that i got my drivers side drum shoes flip floped so that they are installed correctly, and now my brakes are sooooo smooth... semi metallic pads FTW!! hella grippy, and they stop my car even in heavy rain, with out skiddin. lookin forward to icy conditions.

you're getting there. keep up the good work
lots of work buying a rig that was mistreated and not maintained by the former owner
use a 3 ft section of old garden hose as a stethascope to pinpoint engine noises
water pump runs all the time while engine runs. fan is controlled by thermostatic fluid coupling, gets hot=spins

replace that getto'd heater hose now, not fun to have a hose blowout on the Banfield plus can ruin the engine, thar she blows

cars, especially Aeros, are like good women, treat them right and they stick with you forever and do anything you ask of them

ask Pablo-UA, he's the women and Aero expert

will do. i only work like 10 hours a week cuz i have to have a crazy flexible schedule because of pep band and what not. my aero isn't perfect, but from what i can tell my baby was owned by people that did the bare min. mechanical maintenance (like what ever jiffy lube told them to do) and tires and brakes, but the interior is like brand new. i also have a little bit of body work to do... the sheet metal under the tail lights is dented in on both sides, i messed one side up backing into something, and the other side was like that when i bought the car. but over all i can't argue with 600 bux. i'm looking forward to next summer... ROAD TRIPS!!! lol thanks for the advise.

and i agree about the good women part!!! i found mine already.

no i was on a time limit... i drove it around "the block" (more like 40 blocks) to get it nice and toasty, then undid the drain plug and let it drain out for a while. the whole time i left the car running. after about five mins i took the rad. cap off and begain filling rad with hose watter constantly. eventualy i removed the upper radiator hose and let it all drain into huge 5 gallon buckets to flush the egine, since the upper hose is the fluid return hose. tho whole time the car was running untill i took the battery out to "flush" the over flow bin.

also, i flushed the rad. over flow bin and filled it with anti-freeze, and relaced the rad. cap and the rubber hose that goes from the rad. to the over flow container.

EDIT: it could be my ac pump, i did get a lot of water on it when i flushed my rad., and i remember my car makes a loud CLICK noise right before it starts rattleing, and i thin it was doing that this summer too...
