Aero star + Halo's...?
EDIT: Found these on Ebay: they look like a good deal, and have built in city lights! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/86-91...ayphotohosting

Having said that, I'm not sure halos would look all that cool around a rectangular light housing. Halos are, after all round, and their decorative effects work much better around a light that's not turned on. (Why do you want this anyway?)
Also, I would be wary of those funky lights, especially anything that uses light bulbs dipped in blue paint. It has "Rice Boy" written all over it; implies poor quality parts whose only purpose is bling. I'm willing to bet that for the same price, you can get a real set of H4 housings and decent bulbs that will provide far better illumination.
Those are a generic style replacement for sealed beam type headlight. I bet if you searched for more like this there would be many styles, not just ones for aerostar.
perhaps even some high quality designs, like xlt4wd suggests.

Thats a pic of my friend's old bug, he had normal head light bulbs, but his head light assy's. also had a spot for bulbs (designed for turn signals but you can do what ever) and he wired it up so that there was blue bulbs in there that were hooked up to a toggle switch that turned on when he wanted. (in that pic the blue city lights are the only thing that's on)
also, i want/need new head light lenses, and wanted to do a glas conversion kit any ways, and figured why not ad a little original-ness to it? i promise i'm not dumping my car on phat 20's, or doing a chamillion paint job, or doing limmo tint or any crazy interior mods, just enough so my car stands out a bit. yes i know its a good and bad thing, but hey i'm a teen-ager thats ahead of my time (i mean this cuz all the guys i know now driving honda's will eventualy own a minivan of some sort once they realize how much a pain in the *** it is to try get a car seat in the back seat of a dumped 2dr honda... lol)
oh yeah after i paint them these are the rims i'm putting on my aero:

American Racing 15's... I think they're tight, and will look good black with my dark blue/silver trim.
DIYer on autos is a great hobby and saves money
I'll flash my Silverstars and 400 watts of Halogens in the grill at you if I see an Aero with blue headlights, they dim their headlights when the Laser Aero flashes his headlights at 'em

I have pictures of light patterns from my stock Mustang (plastic) headlights, then progressed to Bosch E4 spec housings with standard Hella H4 bulbs (which are now on my 90 Aero), then finally the HID drop-in replacements for H4 housings. I got the 4300K versions, so they don't look blue or purple; just really bright white.
Also have a look at the pages describing the Mustang make-over, where I had to install E4 high beams to compliment my HID (low-beam only) lights.
If you want uniqueness that actually works, think about an HID conversion. There are now conversion kits that move the bulb to get high-low capabilities in the same housing.

XLT, just had time to glance at your site (up in the middle of the night, half asleep. Your site woke me right up!!) I have your site bookmarked, and will return later this afternoon.
Great info, the photos you post say 1,000 words! Keep up the good work, more later! ED
There are other options you can do, and I do think the glass lenses would be better, but the plastic looks better when new and its more aerodynamic. I don't like the headlights sunk down into the grill, I like them as close to flush as possible, but thats just me.
