I recently purchased door seals from National Parts depot and installed one on the driver door. I cannot get this door to fit by adjusting the hinge or latch and seems to be about 1/2 inch from closing no matter what I do. Doe anyone else have experience installing these seals from NPD? Could I have installed upside down? Is there a right and left?
Any help greatly appreciated

There is a right and left, and one way of installing them is after you finish gluing them on, use tape in certain areas to hold the strip in place, then push the door in till it meets the body, but don't allow the door to latch.
Because the new seals are fatter than the shriveled up ones you removed, and doors tend to get out of alignment/sag over time...getting new weatherstrips to properly fit can be a PITA sometimes.
If you removed the doors to install the weatherstrips, I hope you marked the body where the hinge bolts were.
TIP: NEVER remove doors from anything unless the vehicle is parked on level ground. I learned that the hard way years ago by removing the doors from a 1955 T-Bird while it was on jack stands. NEVER AGAIN! It took weeks to get those &^$#$ doors to fit properly!

Looks like I'll need to try to remove the drivers door seal without damaging , which should be tough. Thank you very much for your help. Much more than I recieved from NPD!

That's too bad; I was going to purchase some new ones from NPD; LMC on my truck are doing the same thing as your from NPD. I believe its in my shims on the door latch. The guys who painted my Slick seem to either but them on the wrong doors or left some door shim out.
I also I'm about 1/2" short of closing all the way.
I havn't play with the doors to adjust them yet, seems like every chance I get there's nobody to help hold the doors.

If I can't make these work, I'll purchase a set from Soffseal which are hollow and seems as tho' alot of restorers use these with success. When it's all said and done most of the blame belongs to me as it seems I installed them incorrectly but they came with no instructions. Makes sense they should be left and right!
