I just found out about this web-site and I think it is great to find out that other people have the same questions that I have. Well I have a 93 I6 and when I'm racing my friends my truck really jerks around when I shift. I don't know the revs because, of course, no tach. But from 2nd to 3rd, man it feels like a rocket, then I shift into 4th, and there goes my friends. Why is the acceleration so good then drops off. I think I need more power maybe a new intake is in order. Then if I feel brave maybe a little bit of NOS. Just enough to cool down the intake. What does everybody think of a new, bigger throttle body? I've already done the exhaust but I need more ponies. What does everybody think? I dunno.

>Best,
Sorry about that...the motors that I've seen shifted at 7k (phew, didn't sound too great) were no where near stock with a forged crank and pistons. The reason I take mine to 4500rpm (My truck has a rev limiter at 5000rpm) is because of my cam, it just keeps pulling. Stock that truck ran out at about 3900 calculated. (I didn't have a tach at the time)

Hey now....watch it. Evan (82f100swb) shifted his at 7k many times. That 300 had a forged bottom end outta a HD 300.
