im sorry guys but i cant seem to find what exactly the ccv mod is i thought it was the removal of the foil around the pipes but then i read about horsepower gains so could someone please explain to my child like mind what i need to do and what it does. and i was wondering if i could get a part list for the 6637 mod
thanks
For the 6637, all you need is the filter (Wix part number is 6637). You may need some 4" OD tubing (like exhaust pipe) to connect the filter to the intake tube, but mine is connected directly. If you do the CCV mod, you'll need some of that anyway, so you might as well use a piece there, as well. You'll need an extra clamp too if you use the pipe.
What is the reason for removing the foil wraping around your pipes? Isnt it there for a purpose. Does it give you a different sound?
Two reasons: Looks MUCH cleaner under the hood without that junk on there, and you get a lot more whistle in the higher RPM range. Doesn't change much in the lower ranges, but I definitely notice it in the higher range. Now with the WW, it screams like a banshee when I get on it.
