Just about any parts store can get headers for your truck. Or Jegs or Summit can get them for you.

The sway bar is behind the I-beams on your camper special? I've only seen one other truck, can't remember what year it was or even if it was a camper special, and the sway bar was located out in front of the I-beams. Can I ask why you want headers in the first place?

the manifolds that i have on there now are shot!im just going by what i read about the sway bar,,that is the one exception that all the manufactors have
If it were my truck, I'd find another set of manifolds to put on it. They are much quieter and will last a lot longer than headers will. The way I see it, headers belong on a race car, not my everyday driver. I had a set on my '70 once. A chore to get on, especially once you realize that the starter has to come off before you can get the passenger side to slide in. When I wasn't chasing leaks at the flanges, I was replacing the flange gaskets. I just had more important things to do with my time. However, if you still want headers, I would seriously consider the Sandersons in the above link. Then it be up to your exhaust shop to negotiate the route of least resistance around the sway bar setup.

kyf250- definetly run the headers, the stock manifolds are only good as a paperwieght. The sandersons are nice for shortys, if you'd like a tri-Y Stu's makes nice ones. I'm running JRs, if they don't fit my new trans I'll try one of those two. DF
Does anyone out there have any experience putting headers on a 1966 with a bendix power steering gear box. it looks like clearance might be a problem with this gear box as it sticks further into the motor compartment than the common ford ps gear box does. thanks. jim.
I run headers on both my 68 w/360 and my 73 w/428 FE, and they work great. Yes you do have to take time to insure proper gasket fit and seal. The extra heat killed the starter on the 68, but some heat wrap will help. Starters are harder to install, remove. Sound will be louder, but the stock FE exhasut is BAD. Expect power and gas mileage increase. I use Hooker on the 428 and Headman on the 68. Both sets are the long even-runner type, also known as tuned. You should get the long ones even though they are harder to install, they work well with the torque curve of the FE engines. The 360 / 390 / 410 / 428 all have low torque curves and going with big short headers won't work as well as the long small tube type. The long small tube headers will increase the low-mid range torque. If you don't get the coated type, clean and paint them with hi temp paint, cure them slowly by letting the engine run for short times in order to bake the paint slowly. I got mine to last 15 years by doing this.
