That's because it's averaging it in over the 600-800 miles, so It will not change as quickly as it does when you first reset it.

You can reset it for a good hiway cruise and fill up after that and I'll bet it's pretty close and accurate.
That's how them chivy guys do it....keep it on the hiway at 65 for about 50 miles and see.

I have a hypertech on my 08 f-350 auto with 3.73 rear, with 69K on it .I use this truck very hard, I pull a 3 car hauler with it. The problem with the programmer is that the regen cycle works about 70% of travel time due to extra smoke that the extra fuel yields. So when I need this thing to make an incline it will drop power and boost about 1/4 the way up and just chug over the hill at 45 if I am lucky. And of course I have bumped it to level 3 when I am just running around on the weekends taking my mustang to the track on the single car trailer, but even then the most I have ever got from this truck is 9.1MPG but average is 7.4 And thats with the hypertech. I know that there is someone out there who knows someone that has a PDF delete pipe and a program that will turn off regen and egr all together, until I find that person though I really do not like the performance of this truck what so ever.

SCT from Spartan Diesel technologies with Matt's custom tunes seems to be the best bang for the buck

He told me that he would have the tunes out in September....

Matt is a very busy guy so keep that in mind when you call. He's good about gettin back to people. I know that Storm here on FTE works over there at Spartan. Maybe you can PM him and see if he can help you at all. Either way you'll be in good hands over there
