hey guys i been on this forum for a year or two but i dont post to offen i been seaching the old posts for a while and came up with nothing!..
K ill start u off with my problems
1. 6 mouths ago i had my icp sensor go bad out the blue
2. i had the 10k mod on it but i had a switch for 4.7k ris and i worked very well for 2years before my icp sensor went bad, as soon as the engine light came on the mod wouldnt work any more , and i kinda understood since the sensor gone bad it wouldnt work all the time i had the 4.7k mod on it would boost 24-26psi and the truck would roll!!!
3. I changed out the icp sensor with one from ford and every since then my 10k mod wouldnt work again
4. so i broke down and bought a bully bog power pub and at every HP seting the truck dont feel any faster boost wont go higher then 15psi in every setting , the higher the setting the truck sounds odd at wot like a knock , kinda sounds the same as when ur running out of fuel
some one please help its been driving me crazy
I called bully dog they said the fuel filter and did it, didnt change any thing
change air filter didnt do any thing k&n cone filter
shim'd the ipr didnt do any thing
hooked a hanger to the wastegate to see if boost changed , didnt do any thing
looked around and the piping make sure nothing came loose boots and all, didnt find any thing
Check your up pipes they may be leaking! If they are black at the the donut's, your losing power. Turbo spins slower from lack of exhaust pressure, in turn less boost! Others will join in soon, they will help you out, thats why this site is so great!
check for codes with the power pup, I have the same mods as you (10K, pup, shim) well, mine is a little different as I have the crazy Larry 90hp tune also, but I can reach 28psi boost (with red line disconnected) and 25psi with red line on in the 75hp, 90hp, and 120hp settings. If you are only reaching 15psi then you have a boost leak somewhere, or the turbo wheel is shot from the K&N.
I do get the injector rattle at WOT, The bullydog tech explained that they only adjust injector timing, and do not modify the fuel tables. thats why you dont get much smoke from the bullydog, there is no extra unburnt fuel.
as far as the 10K how do you have it connected to the IPR? mine is just a 10K diode that I bent the leads to fit between the connector and the IPR. also remeber the 10k is great for low end power but the down side is it will limit power on the top end. (but not as much as you are seeing)
I really think you may need to spend the $20 to build a leak detector and find your boost leak. it may be a split boot that you cannot hear at idle(since no boost is built then) but may become appearant at WOT. Also add a boost fooler to your map line, the PCM starts to defuel the engine at 23-25psi so as not to overboost the turbo.
Have you cleared all the codes? Is the ICP code returning constantly? You may be running on a PCM default table from the ICP code. Not sure, but I don't think you will make much power operating off the default tables.

naw it dont, any one running the newer sensor with a programer?, and has anyone heard from the icp sensor being bad brand new?
I was running the 10k until it stopped working for some reason. I had a leaky ICP so I got the new ICP. I couldn't get my 10k to work, and my truck almost seems weaker. Sorry I can't help but I'd like to know what the problem is as well.
You getting enough fuel (fuel pump, filters, pickup, etc)?? When my truck petered out yesterday, it lost boost and had no power at all. Wategate not closing?
Those are some more things I can think of off the top of my head...
