O.K. this is kinda a long shot, but, When I had the 10K mod in my ICP, it widened the contacts in the ICP connector plug, and stretched the plastic socket of the ICP. I know yours is new, but try filling the ICP plug with dielectric grease, and lets make sure you are getting good contact, and not running in default mode. Hey it worked for me.....

Did you say you still only get 15psi with the wastegate opened and no power gain? I ran mine with the red line off until I got a sqeaking noise betwen shifts. Sounded like pinching the neck of a balloon. I'm assuming it was a boot leaking and have yet to fix that issue either. I think I felt more power with the red line off, but who knows.

I need to get gauges so I can offer some real data.

I have a nice puddle in my valley, but am assuming it's from a leaky boot. I see no other source. If there's a puddle in the valley, does it look like a rear main leak from the bottom, or is my rear main out as well?

Like I said before, I may have lost power.......but my truck doesn't feel like its going to break every time I get on it anymore. That's why I have not been too concerned. My fuel economy is still improved from before the 10K mod so I'm assuming it's doing something right.

Not much help here, but maybe try a junk yard in your area. I know the 10k mod is/was popular, but most here run DP tuner, so that's why you're not seeing much response here.

A leaky boot should not form a puddle in the valley, A leaky fuel bowl drain valve will, or a leaky HPOP oil line will, but not a boot. Yes the puddle will run to the back and make it look like your rear main is leaking. Rear main failures are very rare on a 7.3.

If you think you are going to get black smoke with a Bully Dog Power Pup, you are sadly mistaken.
I ran one for two years before I knew any better.

I have talked with Bully Dog tech extensively about this. Thier answer was- "we only adjust the timing of the injection event, we do not add more fuel. that is why we advertise that the BullyDog programs are the lowest EGT programs out there." When I asked if they would add some custom tunes to my power pup I was told-" we consider the 7.3 dead technology and no longer update tuning for that motor."
I called DP within the hour, and you just dont understand the difference. The 120bullpuppy, is about equal to my 60Tow DP program.
forget the ICP, it is fine. It is the tuning you are using.

I just "figgered" all the crap in the IC was leaking out past a boot forming the puddle. What's the easiest way to see what's what in there w/o tearing it down? What do you make of the squeaky balloon noise w/ the red line off?

So many guys have had no change in the 10K after they changed out their ICP it kills me. Works for most, but it sure as heck didn't for me and you. I'm stumped........

Back when I bought the turd from e-bay I put the old one back in and it ran like a bat out of hell. The new Ford ICP de-tuned the truck so I swapped back AGAIN and still ran great with the old one. I got sick of knowing it was "going to go bad", so I put the new one from Ford in and left it. Like I have said before....with the original ICP in it felt like I was going to lose the tranny with every shift. I don't mind that feeling going away even if I can't break the tires loose now.
