That'd be about what mine's getting, although I don't actually measure it. My 79, when it drive it lightly and without the trailer, gets 15 at best, but most of the time it's pulling the car trailer any more, and I don't bother checking gas mileage then. Too scary.
the wife's g-parents have a windstar van, it gets about 25 around town, drive it easy and it might break 30 on the highway. its got the 3l v6 in it, has real nice power.

I had used a Freestar for work for acouple of weeks with the 4.2L in it and i was very suprised when it came to passing how quick that van was. Albeit it wasn't loaded up like we load the Expy up for travelling.
The only bad thing about that van was the noise inside the van from the motor. It was actually quite loud. The best mileage I got with it doing 110 was about 24-26 mpg and it was 80 bucks to fill.
All in all it sounds like those minivans get ok. I have a few friends with various brands, including ford, and they all tell me theirs suck on fuel economy! Maybe they are comparing them to a car though.
to be honest, i'd have a minivan...more headroom, higher seating position. the wagons are ok...mileage would likely be better. top on the list would be an X, but that won't happen right away.
