Putting duallies on my '92 F-250?
Hey guys, I'm thinking about throwing duallies on my '92 F-250 for when I'm hauling the cattle trailer around, and I'm just curious as to what is involved?
I'm guessing I have a 1-ton rear end on the truck 'cause she has the extended studs? And I found some fenders from http://www.duallyfendersusa.com that seem to be priced alright. Im wondering if it's just as simple as putting the flares on and finding some dually rims? And about the dually rims... Are there any years that I can use the rims from any of the newer Ford duallies that wouldn't have a backspacing issue, or something?
Cheers boys

Dually rear axles are 4" longer than the axle in you SRW truck.
So dually rims will not let you run dual wheels, the inner tire will be into the spring.
If you don't haul weight on the truck, you can use spacers and dually wheels from any 3/4 or 1 ton Ford truck up to and including 1997.
Bolt pattern is 6.5" x 8.
1999 and later trucks use metric 170 x 8 rims.
If you haul weight on the truck, I suggest swapping in a dually axle.
And since your 92 should have the VSS in the rear axle, you need one from a 1992 thru 1997 Ford F 350 truck.

wide open they are not cheep and they move the weight out of center of your bearings witch is not ideal that said I have 2 f250 with them we wont be saying how overloaded my wrecker has been or how often no problems so far and I somestimes squat 450 superduty springs enough to lift front end off ground.

you might be able to use a couple lug nuts back to back in a Jam Nut configuration too. BUT that is risky as you could snap the stud off if you pull the wrench at an angle that is not Perpendicular to the rotation.... in other words no Angular tugging on the stud.... IF you do it will surely snap.
