I just bought a 2006 F250 PSD 6.0L and when you turn the key on you see the little glow plug indicator come on for a little while and then go off. No problem so far....but this still comes on even then the truck is hot and has been driven all day long. I didn't think anything of it until I drove my dad's which is the same truck only an 2005. When his is warm the glow plug indicator doesn't come on? Also when mine is turned off something runs for about 10-15 seconds, i'm not sure what it is but it sounds the same as when the glow plugs are working before starting. I hope this makes sense and someone can tell me if they think something is wrong. Is there anything that should be running afte the truck is turned off? It doesn't really sound like a fan or anything...
my truck is a 04 and the light will still come on after fully warm but for only a couple seconds. you more than likely have the INJ cycle flash which they run for 10-15 seconds to dump all the oil stored in the injectors to help on cold starts...that sounds is normall everything sounds A OK with your truck.
