Air Filter restriction gauge

Replaced the air filter and noticed the restriction gauge was unseated as shown in the picture. Can this be glued back or should it be replaced or is it even needed if I'm checking my air filter religiously? There appears to be a rubber gasket where its seperated and when I push it together it looks to seal up. Whats the harm if left as is other than having to look at the idiot light?

If replaced does it just snap into the housing?

You can glue it, at least to keep it from being a leak. Other than that it's basically worthless. Mine is in a land fill somewhere in FL...

My .02. My cousin bought a 2000 F350 recently. His truck was the only time I've seen a filter restriction gauge that had "moved". His stock filter was disgusting to say the least. If you check your filter regularly you wont have any problem deleting it.
