Anyone wanting to install an underhood insulation pad on their Super Duty knows that Ford doesn't make one. I purchased one for the Lincoln Mark LT and install that on my F250 today. It wasn't an EXACT fit, but came pretty darn close. I had to drill a few extra holes in the pad and hood to install the push pins where I wanted them to make it fit tight.
The P/N I ordered was: 6L3Z 16738 A. I think that number was for the newest LT...probably the 2007.
Hardest thing to do was to guess where the existing holes were for the underhood lamp assembly. Looks pretty good and doesn't seem to hit anything on the engine. Pics included here.
I went to two different Ford dealerships here in Maryland. Both said they (FORD) didn't have any that would fit the 2004 and up F250 SD's. Maybe 2003 has a different hood???

Ford stopped putting hood insulation on the SD's starting with 12/03/03 JOB 2 2004's, JOB 1 2004's had hood insulation. Hood insulation from a '03 will work on '04 - '07 trucks. The parts that one of the two dealers should have gave you were... Prices are older list prices.
That's kinda dumb that that they stopped using it. Maybe that's why all of these 6.0's sound louder!
True, but what are you going to do when Ford decides to make some cost cutting measures during the middle of a model year run. Besides the hood blanket, Ford deleted the glove box light and some of the plastic fender liner pieces in the front and rear.
