Largest tire for stock 17" rim

What is the largest tire that would fit the stock 17" rim. I'm looking at the Pro Comp Radial Xtreme A/T Tire, 305x65R-17 - any good?
Tire specs
Xtreme All Terrain, LT305/65R17; Outlined Black Letters; Overall Diameter = 32.50; Rim Range = 8.0-10.0; Load Range = E; Max Load = 3195; Tread Depth = 20/32

The truck is an 06 stock no lift.

Thank for any info guys!

Is yours 4x4?

Mine has BF Goodrich All-Terrain 285/70/17 (32.708" diameter, the 305/65/17 are 32.610" diameter) and no problems with rubbing at all. They still look a little small for the truck. Pics in my gallery.

I agree w/ that also. The trucks wheel wells swallow my 285 all terrians whole. I cant wait for these to wear out and upsize to a 305 or 315.

How wide are the stock 2006 17" alloys, just like UGA33's? Can you fit the next size up on those rims, 295 or 305/70/17? The stock 265s on mine now are flat ugly...

35x12.5's, I ran them on my 06 with stock rims and no lift. They look great and fill up the wheelwell nicely.
